The Factory Dance

The Factory is devoted to professionalism and excellence in dance classes, faculty, administration, annual performances, and general operations. We share in the joys and challenges of dance education in a disciplined, yet positive environment that encourages the development and full self-expression of each dancer, regardless of age and experience.

We are committed to providing an environment in which all students can feel empowered, comfortable and free to express themselves.


Our Classes

We offer classes for Elementary, Middle, High School, & Adult Classes. 


Break Dancing also known as breaking, b-girling or b-boying, is a street dance style that evolved as part of the hip hop movement that originated among African American and Latin American youths in the South Bronx of New York City during the early 1970s. It is arguably the best known of all hip hop dance styles. A breakdancer is also known as a breaker, b-boy, or b-girl. Breakdancing has a variety of influences, dancers picked elements from other dances and sports including but not limited to gymnastics, Capoeira, lindy hop, disco, and many more.


Acrobatic Arts, or acro, as it is more commonly referred to, is a fusion of classical dance technique and acrobatic or gymnastic elements, blended in a dance context. The Acrobatic Arts syllabus is a 12-level program that includes over 350 skills which are taught with logical and safe progressions, and include balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering. Dancers will improve their flexibility and strength and add new skills to their dance vocabulary.

Hip Hop

Contains a blend of several styles of hip hop (including some break dance skills). Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements. The class focuses on rhythm, musicality and footwork.


Ballroom dancing is a partnership dance where couples, using step-patterns, move rhythmically, expressing the characteristics of music. Ballroom dancing consists of two styles: the Smooth, or Standard, and the Rhythm, or Latin. ... The Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep are danced in this manner. Participants in this class do not have to have a partner.

Progressing Ballet

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) Class. Progressing Ballet Technique, or PBT Class, is a revolutionary program designed to enhance ballet technique by specializing in muscle memory, enhancing flexibility, and using dance medicine and exercises to prevent injury.


Students gain strength and flexibility through technical jazz exercises emphasizing rhythm and coordination. The beginning jazz dancer builds upon basic jazz skills, technique and terminology with an emphasis on movement quality and technique. The intermediate jazz dancer will gain greater strength and flexibility through more difficult training exercises in preparation for more complex sequencing and skills with an emphasis on proper technique and movement quality. The advanced jazz dancer has a comprehensive knowledge of jazz skills and terminology and will continue to refine movement style and quality through fast-paced and innovative choreography.


Ballet is the foundation of proper technique and body placement and helps students achieve their maximum potential in all other dance forms. The beginning ballet dancer will practice basic technique and vocabulary with focus on body alignment and center. The intermediate ballet dancer will focus on proper technique, alignment and movement quality while developing core strength and flexibility. The advanced ballet dancer will continue to refine ballet technique, demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of ballet vocabulary and may be considered for pointe work.


The beginning tap dancer will build upon basic tap skills and terminology while refining control, rhythm and sound. The intermediate tap dancer will combine basic tap skills to produce more challenging steps and rhythms with an emphasis on speed and sound clarity. The advanced tap dancer has a comprehensive knowledge of tap skills, vocabulary and technique and will be challenged with intricate and difficult rhythmic combinations.


is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movement


Clogging has evolved over the years and The Factory strives to teach current, contemporary clogging styles while also incorporating the traditional clogging style that makes this dance form unique.
